If you are an art teacher, classroom teacher, or parent, you are in the right place.
If you are looking for Vincent van Gogh art activities for kids, you are in the right place.
If you aspire to inspire your students to take chances and try new things, you are in the right place.
And, if you are here to “Gogh For It!” you are definitely in.the.right.place.
Vincent van Gogh is synonymous with many things. Things like swirling skies, mental health, and the ultimate symbol of a “starving artist.” Of course, the most famous thing that comes to mind when kids first hear the name Vincent van Gogh is that he cut off his ear (HERE is a great article about this famous rumor from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam).
While certainly not the first thing you think about, but certainly high on the list, is the connection between Vincent van Gogh and Sunflowers.
Did you know that, according to this article in the New York Times, Van Gogh painted 11 works in which sunflowers are the primary subject?
My students and I have tried and tested all of the Vincent van Gogh art activities in this post. If you are looking for Van Gogh mural ideas, Van Gogh T-shirt ideas, or collaborative Van Gogh activities, it’s all here, we hope you enjoy!
Want more? Anything that isn’t in THIS post is probably in my first Van Gogh post HERE.
