What you do is so important, but let’s be honest, what you do is also very hard. There will be “those” days. The ones that wear you down and have you wondering how you are going to make it through. For a moment, you may even wonder why you got into teaching to begin with.
That is why Angela Watson from The Cornerstone for Teachers and myself – Art with Jenny K. have created this vision poster for inspired teaching – to help you get through “those” days. This is a free resource that we hope you will take advantage of. Angela and I encourage you to take 5 or 10 minutes to print out this poster in color.
Then reflect on WHY you do what you do as a teacher.
When you are finished with your reflection, hang it up in your classroom. Display it in a place that will allow the quotes and reflection to inspire, motivate and remind you why you do what you do as a teacher!
Attach it inside your planner… (or PLANNERS for most of us)!
Or display it somewhere prominent that will help you tap back into your vision on those tough days when you’re just hoping to make it through. This poster can also be used in staff meetings or professional development as part of a visioning exercise for teachers.

Take it a step further and create a complete visual display bulletin board that includes this poster as the centerpiece. Also include other items that motivate and inspire you, such as photographs, letters from students, poems, or quotes. It’s easy and fun to create. Take a look…
Cover a bulletin board in the wrapping paper of your choice and tape it on the back just like a gift.
Add some fun decorations around the edge to create a border…
Since you used wrapping paper, you can now tape right to the paper. Put your vision poster for inspired teaching wherever you’d like on the board. I used some fun gold glitter tape to attach the corners to add some “bling-bling” to my display – have some fun with this!

Now add personal items to your vision bulletin board. You can add photographs, letters from parents or students, cards, quotes, poems, or anything that inspires, motivates, or reminds you WHY you are a teacher. This board is about YOU! I hope you have enjoyed this freebie. Thank you for all that you do.
