Ruby Bridges Collaborative Portrait Poster – 2 options included plus bonus materials. These activities are intended to complement/supplement any lesson on Ruby Bridges and are great to support your social studies lessons/units.
This project is excellent for celebrating Women’s History Month and/or Black History Month.
Each student is given one section of a large mosaic poster to color. Once all sheets are colored & cut out, they are then assembled to reveal a large (28 in. x 35 in.) multi-colored mosaic/poster/mural of Ruby Bridges that well-captures the essence of this courageous child. There are 30 pieces in this poster.
ratings and counting!
I absolutely loved this project. We did a large unit on the Civil Rights Movement and learned a lot about Ruby Bridges. I love how every student was able to contribute to this project.
